Hello all! My name is Kristiana N. Originally from Albania, I've been residing in the United States since 2017. I graduated from Berea College, KY with a GPA of 3.95/4. I pursued a double-major in CS and Math, taking various courses such as Software Design, Data Structures, Robotics, Discrete Math, Theory of Computation, Linear Algebra, Calculus I, II & III, Probability, Statistics, Numerical Analysis, Abstract Algebra, etc.

I have been accepted with a full scholarship to pursue a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics at Virginia Tech, but am currently taking a gap year, residing in Asheville, NC. Hence, I have high availability to work with you all days of the week, including weekends.

With more than four years experience as a teacher assistant, I have taught Calculus, Discrete Math, and Algebra. Whether in a classroom setting or through individual sessions, online or in-person, I've had the assisted over 200 students in their academic journey. My teaching style is flexible, based on the needs and learning styles of each student. I believe in fostering open communication with my students to understand their preferences and adapt my methods accordingly.

During my academic journey I was awarded the Ballard-McConnell-Willis Mathematics Scholarship, the most esteemed scholarship on campus. Utilizing this scholarship, I went in study abroad experiences across the US and other countries, attending different conferences and taking courses, which expanded my math knowledge and global perspective. I have in total visited 14 countries and 4 continents so far.

Outside of academia, I have a lot of interests, including gym, foreign languages, traveling, painting, trading, and spending quality time with my loved ones.

If you're looking for a dedicated and flexible tutor in mathematics and computer science, I encourage you to reach out to me. I am here to help you understand anything Math related ( well.. at least most of what you'll need from primary school up to successfully graduating college :D )

I have graduated college with a 3.95/4.0 GPA, double-majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science. Of all the math classes that I have taken, Discrete Mathematics was one of my favorite. I got an A+ in the class, and an offer from the professor to work for them. During my 4 year tutoring experience, I have been working for 2 years teaching college students Discrete Mathematics. I have also worked close with the professor by designing course strategies, course homework, and grading the work of the students.
Logic,

Logic

During my undergraduate program, I took Fundamental of Mathematics, which included The Logic and Language of Proofs, Sets, Mathematical Induction, Relation and Orders, Functions, Combinatorial Proofs, Countable and Uncountable Sets, and Introduction to Groups. After this class I also took Abstract Algebra, in which logic was a very important component of it.

Very Knowledgable and Relatable

I needed a tutor that could help me work through material in my Theory of Computation course. Kristiana’s bio convinced me to reach out to her and I am glad I did. Our first session was fantastic. She covered all the preliminaries very well, pausing to make sure I completely understood the concepts. She is very good at boiling complex concepts down to simple English. She is incredibly patient, but she is efficient with her time too. She plans each session with primary and secondary goals in mind and she does a great job of keeping things on track. I am very impressed. I have only run into one other tutor who was as professional or as efficient. I highly, highly recommend Kristiana!

The very best tutor!

Despite encountering many technical difficulties with the app kristiana went above and beyond to make sure I understood the topics, we went over integration topics like trig sub, partial fraction decomposition, and u sub I feel a lot more comfortable now for my upcoming test!
