Need some assistance improving your study skills? Reading comprehension? Math? Presentations? I’m here to help. Having earned both a BA & MA in Psychology from the University of Dallas and now working on my doctorate at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, I have developed and acquired the organization & motivation aids needed to create a personal arsenal of strong study skills. Now I’m ready to help others attain these assets and other competencies in several academic areas.
These academic areas include psychology (of course), mathematics (algebra is one of my favorites!), and reading comprehension (particularly for ACT/GRE testing). I’ve also produced electronic presentations for classroom and professional conferences, so I can assist you with developing and/or editing PowerPoint or Google Slides.
My tutoring experience has included 3 years’ experience working after-school with young people (elementary and middle school) needing assistance with math and reading skills relating to homework assignments & test preparation, as well as helping them develop good study habits. Over the course of 4 years, I have also instructed both individuals and small groups of middle and high school students at a local community non-profit by teaching theatrical and communication basics such as memorization, pronunciation, articulation, and non-verbal communication interaction.
Whether helping people reach short-term targets or following a personalized plan to reach steadily ascending goals, I work hard to continually incorporate feedback (from students and parents) to offer the most effective assistance possible. I enjoy working with people with a variety of backgrounds, ages & needs, and I strive to respond quickly to questions and queries.
