I enjoy working one-on-one with students; helping them achieve success in the learning process.

I taught English Grammar; with a strong emphasis on sentence diagramming and proper sentence and composition construction.

I had a multi-grade, multi-subject certification in California for Pre-K thru Adult Ed. I also worked one-on-one with parents of my students to help them prepare for their GED.

I've taught all subject matter to students in grade K to 8. At one time, I designed, developed and administered a nation-wide math competition that had over 1,200 students in 27 states participating each month.

Teaching as been my passion. While students were in my classroom their parents didn't find the need to have them receive outside help or tutoring. Feel free to contact me and schedule lessons.

I taught math in a multi-grade classroom for 25 + years. One of my teaching methods was to have each student work at their own pace. In doing that, I had a one-on-one session with each student every day. I also formed a Elementary Math Competition that involved students in grades 4-5 competing each month. This competition was in 27 states and included over 1,200 students. I wrote the test each month and supplied the teachers with a solution sheet to share with their class once the test was given.

Kind, fun and knowledgeable tutor

Mark is great! Mark taught my son a couple of new-to-my son strategies he can use to easily cement what he's already been taught to resolve the problem more quickly. I liked Mark's easy-for-all to understand approach and method. Really appreciated his Show & tell parents what we learned to conclude the lesson.

Knowledgeable and patient

Mark has been tutoring my second grade daughter about grammar and writing. He is knowledgeable and makes learning fun. After each session, we will always have a show and tell and he will have my daughter read the story that she wrote. He also includes my other kindergarten daughter when they are playing sight words game.
