Hello! I am a retired Elementary Teacher, though I'm not really that old. Circumstances have brought me to this wonderful state of Texas; my certification is a Michigan Teaching Certification. My certification expires in 2017 and I am looking to certify here in Texas with a Masters Degree. I have many graduate hours past my original undergraduate degree so I feel I am well-versed in most elementary subject areas. My major/minor is in Language Arts (Reading and Writing) and Science. Hello! I am a retired Elementary Teacher, though I'm not really that old. Circumstances have brought me to this wonderful state of Texas; my certification is a Michigan Teaching Certification. My certification expires in 2017 and I am looking to certify here in Texas with a Masters Degree. I have many graduate hours past my original undergraduate degree so I feel I am well-versed in most elementary subject areas. My major/minor is in Language Arts (Reading and Writing) and Science. I have been a math trainer for my school district, as well as a science leader/trainer. I have 15 years of teaching experience, having started my career in my mid 30's.

I currently have four children at home, two part-time. I also have four olders (as I call them) that are already grown and starting families of their own. Four of my children are adopted through marriage. So, as you can imagine, I have also had much experience with tutoring my own children. Reading is very important in our home, and is one of my favorite pastimes. I can travel without ever leaving my home:)
