Hello there!

I am a retired teacher with over 35 years experience, and still loving when that light goes on in a child's eyes the minute they finally "Get It". I have worked with hearing impaired students my entire career, and can sign fluently. With working in the field of "Deaf Education" I have had the opportunity to hone my skills of working to each individual students needs. I not only have worked with students with hearing losses, I also have vast experience in elementary and middle school hearing students.
I have experience with teaching the core subjects in elementary and middle school. I also have experience with teaching "ESL/ESOL language to middle school through adult learners. I have worked with students in gifted talented programs, general education classes, and special needs classrooms. I believe every child is so very important to our world no matter what their functioning level.

I am a compassionate person, who believes ALL children can learn and excel to the expectations put upon them. I understand about Standardized testing, and can help students be successful on those type of tests. One quality that I have developed through all my years teaching is that I can explain a topic many different ways to better help the student grasp and internalize the information.

My passion is to help children be and feel successful, reach their potential, and step closer toward being a positive part of society. When that happens I know that student is gaining something for life, and that makes all the hard work worthwhile.
