I taught ASL for more than 20 years to a variety of different individuals and in a variety of different settings (i.e., churches, schools, colleges, hospitals, and the like). For me, ASL is more than a job; it is a way of life, and I have taken great pride in being a native ASL user.

I have worked with deaf and hard of hearing for over 20 years. I worked first as a teacher aide in the classroom working with deaf and hard of hearing individuals with special needs. I worked as a sub teacher and have experience creating and following individualized lesson plans. I am also certified clinical therapist and have experience working with individuals who have special needs, ADHD, behavioral issues, etc.

Patient tutor

Tammy reviewed vocabulary with my daughter for an upcoming test. She taught my daughter the origination and meanings behind the signs which goes beyond memorization and really helps students understand signs for better recall. She was very patient with my daughter who has ADHD and is autistic. She made learning fun.
