I'm Anna! I recently graduated from Penn State University - Main Campus, and I will be going to medical school next year! I know how difficult the science courses can be (trust me). But I know that I would not have had nearly as much success in my classes without the help of fantastic professors and teaching assistants. They had a way of explaining the material in a way that made sense. That is what I want to do here: break down confusing topics in a way that is easier to understand, and more importantly, remember in the future!

During my undergraduate career, I was a cellular and molecular biology assistant, both in lecture and lab, for 2 years. I had one section of students for a 3-hour lab each week; additionally, I had walk-in office hours for my students once a week if they needed help with tough topics. I have taken both the ACT and the MCAT, and scored in the 98th percentile on both; I understand the format of standardized testing, and I know how to learn the "tricks" behind them. I have also recently taken upper-level college courses in biology, biochemistry, and chemistry.

I was a writing tutor at my college for 2.5 years. I was required to take a training course for one semester before I could officially become a tutor. My job consisted of several shifts per week that involved one-on-one sessions with students. There were additional workshops that I signed up for, which included grammar clinics, presentations on business writing, citation assistance, and peer review discussions.
