Excellent tutor

Erik is very patient and goes the extra mile. Erik helps to make English a more tangible subject that my son can engage in. His time with Erik helps to fill the holes that are often missing due to the lack of time in high school courses to go over mechanics. Erik is also good at identifying my son's strengths and the challenges and tailoring his instruction to follow suit. I love that he never talks down to my son. Their conversations are so intelligent. In the end I think he sees the very best in my son and his capabilities. I can't recommend him highly enough.

My son, who is in 10th grade, has an English Honors class that he has some difficulty with in the areas of writing and grammar. Based on Erik's profile, I thought he would be a good fit for my son. Erik knows his grammar exceedingly well and he makes essay writing challenging but fun. He seems to be very experienced and knowledgeable. He also seems to understand the areas of weakness that my son needs to work on. We plan to have Erik tutor my son on a regular basis to help him in many different areas.

Erik brings a depth of knowledge to students. We had him as a writing instructor. Erik came prepared for each session with materials that were customized to each one of my children. Erik was up for any challenge and proved to be both flexible and committed. I appreciated the way he remained firm when I told him that the homework was too hard. He did not give in to my demand to water down the homework but he said that my son could do it and explained why the exercise would help my son learn an important concept.
