I am in my 20th year as a special education/SEIT teacher, the past five years have seen me working as a CF-SEIT (Centrally Funded Special Education Intervention Teacher) within the Department of Education (DOE). In this role, my primary focus is providing essential reading intervention to the students who make up the lower third of our school population. My expertise extends to a range of classroom certifications in various multisensory literacy programs, including SPIRE, Fundations, Orton Gillingham, Letrs, and Sound Sensible, among others. These programs serve as the foundation of my teaching approach and have consistently proven effective in addressing the diverse needs of my students.
