I have been a teacher/tutor for the past 20 years and the thing I love the most about the profession is helping young people reach their goals. I am a certified Social Studies teacher who also holds certifications in Students with Disabilities and Physical Education. I love helping people reach their goals and being part of somebody's success story. I have had great success with all types of learners, improving student scores and performance.

I am a certified Social Studies teacher who also holds certifications in Students with Disabilities and Physical Education. I specialize in all the Social Studies, especially Global Studies, World History, and US History. I have helped students who have some difficulties with the dreaded DBQ's and Thematic essays. I also can help in all aspects of writing. I have had great success in helping students who are struggling to pass Regents exams or assist students who wanted to improve their grades. I know specific tricks about the US History and Global Studies Regents Exams that I pass on to my students. I also have graded the Regents Exams and know exactly what teachers are looking for when grading the exam. I have also tutored SAT subject tests for US History and World History and the AP Exams.

I have 20 years experience working with Special Education Students. I have worked with a diverse range of students. This range includes students with learning disabilities, emotional difficulties ,all the way through AP learners. I have had great success with students in these situations. I am fair, have high expectations, and use humor and personal experience to help understand the entire child. I use technology and different modes of delivery and instruction to find a way to reach all students.

Great tutor

My son had fail global 2 times before tutoring with Adam and within a few sessions his confidence on passing the global regents was enormous. My son really enjoyed the tutoring session with Adam. He said that Adam made remembering and understanding the info so much easier compared to his current teachers. Adam was very determined and confident that he could get my son to pass and he did exactly that. If you are looking for history tutoring for your child Adam is A++++
