Currently, I am an Autism Specialist for a large school district in New Mexico. I am dual certified in both special education and general education. I also hold my teaching licenses in New Mexico and Texas. This includes, two Masters' degrees; one in elementary education, the other in Autism and communication disorders. My expertise in not only working with students in special education but also in the general education setting. I consider my ability to teach language arts/reading to all students at all levels my greatest ability.

My methods include working with students at their level and building from their strengths. I have a growth mindset which means I am always willing to learn and I am adaptable to teach children at all levels. My expertise is working with children with Autism and I implement a plethora of reading strategies while keeping high levels of structure with visual schedules and other visuals and icons as needed which could be used for all students.
