Hello! I'm a mathematics tutor with lots of experience in the subject, both learning and teaching. I got my Bachelor's in Math from UC Irvine with a 3.96 GPA, and went on to get my Masters in Applied Mathematics from here at CU Boulder.
During my time as an undergraduate student, I assisted with afterschool math programs in collaboration with schools around Irvine. I also have 4.5 years of experience as a teaching assistant, leading recitation sections in several CU Boulder Applied Math courses, namely Differential Equations, Calculus, and Matlab.
I am flexible in my teaching format, and I believe in tailoring the form and content of a lesson to the student. I have had success with teaching regimens as disparate as strict, planned-to-the-minute lessons all the way to almost completely free-form discussions of the material at hand. If you know what style works for you, I can certainly adapt to it; if you're not sure, I'm happy to work with you to figure one out!
I am looking to help students who are looking to brush up on, or get ahead in, college or highschool mathematics classes. Topics and courses I'm qualified to cover include Geometry, Algebra (I/II), Calculus (A/B/I/II/II), Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Statistics, Numerical Analysis, Real Analysis, and Group/Ring Theory. I also have a good amount of experience with Python, though this is limited to data science applications from my research, namely with weather model analysis.
