Hello,

We can do it together!

When I was a student, I loved math. It is my favorite subject. I learned it from books, teachers and professors. I also worked and tried many activities and figured out many problems. All that mix gave me the opportunity to see the beauty of math and enjoy the elegance in advanced and abstract parts of math.

I have a master degree in math.

When I work with student, I guide. I ask questions. I am looking for the “Aha!” moment. It is when the student gets it and makes the discovery. The student answers help to see what is missing and I help student to learn what is missing. I help fix misconceptions. I also help student identify weaknesses and fix them.

I help student learn geometry. We work on identifying objects, understanding definitions and using them to relate properties of geometric figures. We can use visual approach, observation and hands on to figure out what the answer should be. I guide students to find answers and write proofs. I help also with deriving and using formulas for perimeter, area and volume. By creating connection between formulas, we create a visual image for student to remember and retrieve necessary information.

I enjoy solving problems and helping students that are interested in math. I like to draw a picture of a problem, make a diagram or act the problem. We can draw a table or make a graph.

"I do, we do, you do" is one way I can help you learn. You learn to ask yourself the important questions and decode the problem. I can help you become independent learner.

We can do it together! This is your chance to start working better and become an excellent student.

Thank you for your time.
See you soon online or in person.

Common Core,

Common Core

I worked at school district where we employed Common Core standards. I have done this for 7 years. Common core is simply higher requirements to learn math. It is not different math, simply making sure the students meet the common core standards when learning it.
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

Big part of elementary math is understanding numbers, operations and working with fractions. I worked with students from lower grades and help them grasp concepts and clear misunderstanding. One example is prime numbers. I had this student who mistakenly taught that the prime number needs to be shown as a sum of other numbers. It is different, a prime number must have only one prime factor - itself.

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

I taught Algebra 1 in high school and middle school settings for several years. I use real life examples to help understanding of algebra. We will connect what math is with your experience to help remembering and using math. Visual approach and hand on are other tools we may use so you can gain confidence solving problems. We also use pen and pencil to aid the advancement and connecting concepts.

Calculus

I taught calculus 1 to a local college two years ago. I had 9 students and 6 of them passed the class successfully. My undergraduate degree includes electrical engineering class, which uses complex numbers math. I have also some classes in my graduate math degree in calculus.
Geometry,

Geometry

I taught 7 years high school geometry. This is the subject that excites me the most. Proofs, classic tools construction and calculations are well understood. We can use construction tools to help understanding and connecting geometry with you already know. I can help you also with two column and paragraph proofs.

Organized, professional, ready to work.

Sava is a prompt and thorough communicator, and arrived on time for our lesson with his materials and an excellent grasp of the geometry principles and proofs that my son is struggling with. Sava worked for just over an hour to make sure that my son had time to review their completed work and to make sure he could offer some feedback to the parents, as well, about how our son could practice the material between tutoring sessions. Thank you, Sava!

Angela, 1 lesson with Sava

Extremely knowledgeable and helped my son understand concepts he was struggling with.

Sava analyzed the issues our son was having with adv algebra by reviewing his homework and tests. By the end of the session our son had a much better understanding of the concepts and formulas he was struggling with.

Very Patient and Helpful!

Sava was very patient and clear. He made problems with trigonometric identities very easy to understand. I felt much more confident with solving the problems than I did before. I definitely would recommend him to others struggling with trigonometry.

Patient

HS tenth grade Geometry. Sava gave me a better understanding of subject I was having trouble on. He was on time and clear. I would use him again. I had originally scheduled with him and had to reschedule. He was available the very next day.

Literally the Best tutor

Saba is one of the best tutors I've had. He is funny, which can definitely lighten up my mood when I am stressed over not knowing concepts. He is very knowledgeable, and can break down any concept I need. I’m a dyslexic student in calculus based physics. If he can help me then he can help you.

Wonderful tutor!

My son was really struggling with geometry. He just had a session with Sava tonight and now feels much more prepared for his upcoming test. Sava was able to explain things in an easy to understand manner, much better than his current math teacher. So happy we found this tutor!
