Hello,
My math journey began in high school with AP Calculus, there I realized I had a bit of a knack for it. Eventually I ended up at Gordon State College working toward a Mathematics degree. While there, I worked as a math tutor in the Student Success Center. The subject of my sessions ranged from Support Math and College Algebra up to upper level math classes like Foundations of Advanced Mathematics and Number Theory. After I graduated with my bachelor's degree, I continued to work there off and on for the next year or so. I even worked with some students privately, here and through connections I already had through the college. Although I did very much enjoy helping others, unfortunately it didn’t seem to be a viable career path at the time. So I sought out other options.
Currently I’m a full-time Web Application Developer at a local software development company. I have been working at that company for 6 years or so and have become very well-established there. Now, I’ve begun to realize how much I miss the joy of helping others and so I’m trying to use my spare time to help others once again.
Thanks,
Nick
