I enjoy helping autistic students learn and achieve new skills. I have worked for several years as an aide for autistic children in a public school setting. I am skilled in early elementary and love working with children. I believe that autistic children have every ability to learn just as well as a child without learning hurdels....it just takes more time and a lot of patience to get them there. You also have to look for the little victories in their learning and take a step back from the "big picture" and celebrate with them when they "get it."
