I have completed an associates degree at Raritan Valley as an English major and switched to history for my bachelor's at Montclair State University.
My biggest strength is history, storytelling, and literature, having worked in the field for years and intend to become a history teacher when I go full time. As part of an internship, I put together a 100-slide PowerPoint presentation on storytelling. I can find easy strategies to understand the deeper meanings of stories and write outlines for five paragraph essays that will make it feel like the paper is writing itself.
In my strengths with history, I am continually read or watch videos on in my downtime. I am strongest with US and European history, though my knowledge mostly goes up to the end of the Cold War or the 1990s. This is not to say I don't know a wide variety of subjects from ancient history to Chinese, Indian, Islamic and Brazilian histories. I find many history subjects easily accessible, and I talk about a lot about it with many people I know. I like learning about the major players in history, not just their roles in history were, but who they were as people. I enjoy trying to find the development of different cultures, religions, nations, and how events lead to another.
I am mostly available on weekends or various times during the week depending on my schedule.
