I have been teaching since 1987. My credential is current and is a Special Education Specialist K-12 certification Moderate to Severe. I retired from the school district in 2018. I currently teach online with five students on my caseload. I also teach acting to 7th-8th grade students at a local charter school. I perform locally as an actor and singer.

My skills focus on helping students develop confidence in their academic and social skills through music, drama and literature, relaxation and humor as well as helping them develop tool box strategies to support their academic and social learning. I develop rapport and trust first and then delve into academic areas of need. I can easily work with both students with IEP's and those with other learning needs.

My mission is to instill and inspire in each student a thirst to communicate through reading, writing and math to foster growth and development academically and emotionally and spiritually. I do utilize a holistic approach in order to support all aspects of each child. When not teaching, I serve a the Director of Youth and Family at a Spiritual Center where I am currently developing a performance/ theatre group for our youth.
