About Robert

Bio

I am in my 15th year of teaching. I have Master's in Education (Curriculum and Instruction) and have just begun my second Master's in Social Studies.

I am currently teaching AP and Forensic Psychology in Connecticut. Before I landed in CT, I taught five years in the German system and four years teaching IB (Psychology and Economics) and the IGCSE (Economics, Geography and History) in a British International School in Germany.

Besides teaching, I also have over twenty years of coaching...

I have a minor in Christian Theology from Clarks Summit University.

I’ve been teaching Social Studies for 10 if my 15 years of teaching. I currently use APA formatting with my students (Psychology) but I have used and proofread both styles at high school and collegiate levels.

I’ve written/organized/proofread papers at masters level for myself and others. I have been incorporating governmental leanings and policies in my Human Geography courses.

Besides minoring in Theology, I have taught World Religions to varying degrees in the German school system. I was the in-school sub for the Religion courses and I also incorporated it into my English lessons. During my time teaching Geography classes at St. George's British International School of Cologne, we covered the Crusades (comparing and contrasting Christianity and Islam) and also had an extensive unit on India and Hinduism. I am currently teaching Modern World History and for the Honors track we compare all the main world religions (Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism and Taoism).

I have been teaching AP Psychology for the past two years, along with a half-year in 2013. I taught IB Psychology for two years in Germany. I am AP and IB certified with CAT 2 certification in the IB.

I played professionally in Germany for 18 years (BSV Wulfen and RC Hoxfeld-Borken). During that time I coached from Jr. High to HS aged boys and girls. On top of that, I ran my own basketball camps and ran camps for both clubs I played for.
