My name is Alina and I love teaching Spanish and helping students to improve their Spanish.
I have extensive experience teaching all levels of Spanish, from beginner to advance. I tutor in Carmel Valley, San Diego, even though I also provide online lessons for students living in different areas or states. My name is Alina and I love teaching Spanish and helping students to improve their Spanish.
I have extensive experience teaching all levels of Spanish, from beginner to advance. I tutor in Carmel Valley, San Diego, even though I also provide online lessons for students living in different areas or states. My students attend schools like Canyon Crest Academy, Torrey Pines High School, Cathedral Catholic High School, Francis Parker, The Bishop's School, La Jolla Country Day, Pacific Ridge School, and more, or middle schools like Pacific Trails or Carmel Valley Middle School. I am familiar with the Spanish programs followed in the area. I also have extra materials and books that I use to provide extra practice to my students.
In addition, I tutor college's students or adults interested in learning Spanish or practicing conversation in Spanish with a native speaker.
I love helping students with their Spanish classes, getting them ready for a trip to a Spanish speaking country, or preparing them for a test like the AP Spanish Language & Culture, the SAT Special Subject Spanish, or the IB Spanish.

Excellent tutor, very patient

Alina is a great tutor. She’s experienced, always prepared and very patient. She helps my son with the lessons that the school did not finish and does an excellent job. She has all the knowledge in Spanish and always makes sure that my son understands what he’s learning. She also prepares a variety of materials to help my son understand more in grammar. And my son is more confident to speak in Spanish too. I am sure that my son will be able to continue his Spanish course in school on a well-built foundation in the upcoming semester. I am very happy to have found Alina!

Amazing and Super Helpful

I've been coming to Alina for a few weeks now and I can already see a difference in my confidence during spanish class. I am much more open with speaking aloud and having small conversations with people in the language. She helped me understand past rules that I didn't pick up on in previous years of learning spanish. This small yet big change allowed me to improve greatly. I highly recommend her as she has a good energetic way of teaching and helping students that guarantees confidence and improvement in the language whether in their verbal skills or reading/writing skills.

Very knowledgable teacher, knows how to teach

Alina does a very good job teaching advanced Spanish. She is kind and patient with student and apparently knows what to teach since she was a school teacher before. She also prepare materials for the kids. We are glad we found her, as our school Spanish IV teach is a part time teacher and not very available for students.

Fabulous tutor! HIGHLY recommend!!!

Alina has been the perfect tutor for my son! She started working with him after he began struggling with some new concepts taught in his Spanish class. Alina was able to quickly assess the areas he needed to work on and tailored the instruction in a way that allowed him to quickly grasp the new concepts. She is always prepared for anything he needs help with and is extremely patient with him. My son looks forward to working with Alina and has done very well in Spanish since seeing her. Excellent tutor!

Alina was an excellent tutor and I really enjoyed working with her. She had a lot of exercises for me to practice and I learned something new every session. Very Accessible, Thorough Feedback and Is Receptive to Our Needs
