My life-long interest in teaching and learning are critical motivating factors to my applying for a tutoring position with Wyzant.com. My life, education, philosophy, passion, and worldviews are fundamental yardsticks upon which my views of education are built, sustained, and reinforced. I have taught at various levels including secondary and post-secondary education. My first degree was in English Education, and my Master's degree was in English Language and Literature. As such, I have a strong passion for the teaching of English language, literature, writing, composition, and a variety of courses in the Humanities.

Currently, I am pursuing a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership. My current training and certification in College Teaching have added a unique perspective to my approach to teaching and learning. I have embraced the role of a teacher and leader simultaneously by providing continuous and ongoing mentoring to my students and everyone I work with in the field of education. Toward that end, I'm glad to join the teaching staff of Wyzant.com as I bring my perspective, scholarship, leadership, and mentoring skills to help students to better improve in every area of their studies.
