I’m Jeannine. I am a certified teacher and a certified school psychologist. I am certified to teach elementary school and I am certified to teach high school in the area of psychology. I have my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from St. Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire. I have a Master of Arts degree in Educational Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology with a focus on children and adolescents. I earned both of my master’s degrees from Montclair State University. I am currently working as a school psychologist.

Prior to becoming a school psychologist, I spent 20 years teaching elementary school. I taught third grade for one year and then moved to kindergarten where I spent the next nineteen years. I have considerable experience teaching children to read. In addition to my teaching experience, I have tutored children ranging in age from five to sixteen in the area of language arts. My focus in tutoring has been on teaching young children to read and comprehend what they read as well as teaching comprehension and critical thinking skills to older children. I have also focused on teaching children about the writing process from brainstorming ideas, to writing drafts to editing the final piece of writing. As a school psychologist, I have also spent time teaching children executive functioning skills such as organization and time management. Improving the self-confidence of children is very important to me in my tutoring. In addition to working with many students over the years, I have also assisted my three children in their learning. My children range in age from 21-11. Although my time is limited to weekends until the school year ends in June, my summer schedule is very flexible. I can tutor mornings or afternoons any day of the week. I am willing to tutor in person or online.
