Hello, everyone! My name is Elise :) I was homeschooled through high school. I then attended Isothermal Community College and graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree. I attended Charleston Southern University for one year working towards my bachelor's degree in history. I finished my history degree online with Liberty University. I graduated with my bachelor's degree with a 4.0 GPA. Currently, I am working on my master's degree in public history. I also recently attended a trip to Ireland through a Study Abroad Program with Isothermal Community College.

Being homeschooled, I was responsible for completing my own assignments in a timely manner. I learned time management skills and personal responsibility. Having completed much of my undergraduate and graduate work online, I am well-versed in an online school platform. I know the different challenges faced by both in-class and online students, and I have the technical skills necessary to work in an online setting. I have some experience working with MLA, APA, and Turabian formatting styles.

I recently worked at Biltmore, an historic house museum, as an interpretive host. I helped guide guests into the house, answered questions about the history of the museum, and gave school and special tours. Giving school tours at Biltmore gave me hands-on experience working with grade-school children and young adults. I understand the importance of engaging with people on a level that is interesting and significant to them. I am passionate about writing, public speaking, and history and seek to connect with individuals of all age levels by imparting this passion and love to them.

Finally, I love people. I love interacting with people and helping them to be successful with their lives. As a student myself, I understand the challenges that students face.
