I am a trained reading consultant having taught school employees the Read Right method. I saw amazing results and I saw it happen much faster than I could have imagined. I saw a high school student who stuttered and it completely went away. I am a trained reading consultant having taught school employees the Read Right method. I saw amazing results and I saw it happen much faster than I could have imagined. I saw a high school student who stuttered and it completely went away. I saw students who were school troublemakers become engaged and begin to understand what they read and what the teacher's questions meant. I saw students begin to share in class discussions whereas before they were reluctant to share or simply just not do it. I am telling it was pretty cool!

I have taught at all levels but more at the high school level than any other. I have been a principal in a private school. I have many years of experience which has allowed me to figure a way to connect with a student. I read people very well and usually very quickly. This helps me to understand the student's world and what is important to them. Therefore, I can adjust my personality and approach to get the student motivated. It is said of me, "When Mike teaches, people learn." I love to see students begin to believe in themselves and believe they can do it!

As described above I have traveled the United States teaching staff the Read Right method of reading. I have never seen an educational program be as effective as this was and is. I was astonished at the success and how fast it came. Therefore, I would now consider reading to be an area where I am very well prepared to help students.

My love for history combined with my enthusiastic personality and the ability to get students to be critical thinkers has made me a successful history teacher. I have traveled the United States as a public speaker and therefore have seen many of the places which are discussed in American History.

I have played, coached and currently officiate volleyball, basketball, baseball and softball. I know my sport well and can still play all of them. I did play at the collegiate level as well.

I have a B.A. degree from Central Washington University. My major was history,
