About Amelia

Bio

With 14 years experience teaching French, German, Spanish & EFL in high schools, language schools and on a one-to-one basis, I relish every opportunity to help students of all ages master a foreign language. Having lived in Montréal and Paris, I not only mastered the language but gained a deep understanding of the Québécois/French culture, which is indispensable when embarking on any foreign language study and a life experience that I can draw upon during lessons to give my teaching...

With 14 years experience teaching French, German, Spanish & EFL in high schools, language schools and on a one-to-one basis, I relish every opportunity to help students of all ages master a foreign language. Having lived in Montréal and Paris, I not only mastered the language but gained a deep understanding of the Québécois/French culture, which is indispensable when embarking on any foreign language study and a life experience that I can draw upon during lessons to give my teaching contextual background and authenticity.

My Masters degree in Educational Leadership focused on the importance of individualized assessment and feedback to further assist students' progress and my former students tell me that this was immensely useful in their learning process.

I am also TEFL qualified and have experience teaching English to summer school groups and adults of all levels and nationalities both in the UK, France and Japan.
