I am an accomplished, innovative, professional freelance copywriter and editor with extensive experience contributing to a variety of companies, websites and publications. I am also a freelance essayist helping high school seniors write and edit their college application essays from start to finish. I have coached more than 80 high school seniors online and over the phone, and many were accepted to their top-choice colleges. I have also worked with college students and with recent grads on their applications to transfer schools or apply to grad school. I have a BA in English from Stanford and an MFA in Writing from the University of San Francisco. I am a regular contributor to Stanford Magazine.

Currently, I write freelance online and print articles about food and restaurants, green news and living, events, parenting, education, fitness and wellness, and technology. Additionally, I write monthly articles on fitness and food for the monthly San Francisco paper, the Marina Times. I have written about technology for Investors Business Daily and Upside Magazine. I was the freelance contract editor for Stanford for You, a monthly e-newsletter about Stanford activities and events that goes to nearly 14,000 subscribers in the South Bay community for 14 months during 2012-2013. I researched, edited, wrote, formatted and helped to design the newsletter. I completed four months in 2013 as a part-time, temporary freelance compiler of the Stanford News Digest, a daily e-newsletter read by Stanford faculty and staff. My hobbies are fitness—hiking, yoga, gym workouts, and ballet—cooking, and reading. I have two kids, both currently in college.

I am an excellent writer, adept editor, and close reader. I find it easy to establish report with students of all ages, and I can help anyone write a better paper or essay, even if he or she is not a native English speaker. I am fascinated by each student's story and will work to ensure that each essay that is submitted is in the student's own voice but grammatically and str
