I'm a former adjunct professor living in San Diego for a year to get a break from Pennsylvania winters. I have taught a range of psychology classes to a broad spectrum of students at the levels of community college, a four-year private institution, and graduate courses at a state university. Courses included General/Intro Psychology, Developmental and Child Psychology, Psychopathology, Motivational Psychology, Group Therapies in Clinical Practice, and Environmental Psychology. I minored in biology and neuroscience in undergraduate and can be of support for fundamental topics within psychopharmacology and biology of mental illness.

After graduate school, I worked outside of Philadelphia with adults who were chronically and severely mentally ill and/or dealt with issues of substance abuse in the community mental health setting. I also have experience in inpatient psychiatric hospitals and spent several years as a behavior specialist consultant for children with behavior issues in both schools and homes. This clinical experience has lent itself to my being able to connect relevant examples to text descriptions.

I'm currently tutoring graduate and undergraduate students in the San Diego area and have some schedule flexibility in the coming weeks for anyone who may need some extra preparation for upcoming midterm exams or practicum projects for which they could use some rehearsal opportunities in person. Depending on the day, daytime or evening hours could be made available with some notice.
