My teaching career expands over thirty years from remedial reading at the high school level to all subjects at the elementary level. My teaching career expands over thirty years from remedial reading at the high school level to all subjects at the elementary level. I taught high school remedial reading and freshman English from 1976 to 1979. The balance of my career was in the elementary classroom. It included grades six, five, four, and three with seventeen of those years in third grade. I've also tutored privately for many, many years and for one year with Club Z. From March of 2010 to July of 2012 I was the Site Coordinator for an after-school program through a 4-H grant. Also for the past two years I have served as a clinical supervisor for student teacher interns. I truly, truly enjoy working with children and assisting them in learning the necessary skills and concepts in the various subject(s) content areas.
