I am Helen Wu. When I studied at American University in 1990's for my Ph.D in Statistics, I worked as a tutor to help other students in Finite Math and Statistics in my spare time. The words spread out quickly when my students noticed their quick grade improvement and they referred more students to me, for their college math, high school math and SAT/GRE/GMAT test prep. After working in financial industry for more than 16 years, I came back to education. In recent years, I taught and tutored many middle school and high school students in their math class as well as SSAT /SAT math. My expertise is to explain the math concepts to each student in the way he/she can understand.

I love tutoring not only because I am good at it, but also it is very rewarding when my students get good grades, gain confidence, and have better chance to go their dream college with a good test score. One of my summer students at 8th grade got 760 in SAT Math.

I was voted by my students as a "Super Hero" teacher when I taught. I know the math materials very well and elaborate to students with difference background and skill.
