About me: My background is in astrophysics. I received my undergraduate degree in Physics at Colby College. At Colby, I tutored students in math and physics, and I was a teaching assistant and grader for many undergraduate physics courses and labs. I moved to California for graduate school, obtaining my PhD in Astrophysics at the University of California, Davis. During graduate school, I taught undergraduate physics laboratory courses. I also tutored on the side in physics for undergraduates and high school students.

I am currently a machine learning engineer for a private company helping to reduce bias in AI algorithms. Before that, I was a software developer at Princeton University in a Neuroscience lab. I am an expert in the Python programming language. I particularly enjoy tutoring/consulting for programming projects.

I have tutored programming, physics and math for a decade.

Feel free to contact me to get more information or to schedule our first lesson.

Cheers, Austin

Good temperament and patient.

Helped diagnose the problem and helped proceed with a solution. I was having an issue regarding a combination of PostGreSQL, Docker, and pgAdmin4 and we were able to accomplish my goal.

Python for Data Science (ML track)

I am a IS grad student, and I am going through a Data Science Bootcamp and sometimes tasks are pretty unique and complicated. When I cannot find solutions I try to get help from experienced professionals. Austin is a great developer, who can help with Data Science concepts on a professional level. The help was outstanding. Clear, concise solutions and smooth explanations.

Great Tutor for Python

I am new to python, and have some troubles with my codes. Austin had lots of knowledge about python, specifically about pandas library. I think I will schedule with Austin again if possible. Highly recommend him if you have questions about python.
