Teaching and working with students to strengthen their knowledge in the sciences is a passion of mine! I've had the pleasure of teaching as an Adjunct Lecturer at SUNY Stony Brook University's Undergraduate Biology Program teaching in both introductory and advanced lab courses.
I've also tutored many students through work with both SUNY Stony Brook University and SUNY Suffolk County Community College, ranging from high school regents-level courses to college-level material.
I take a student-centered approach to figuring out how each student learns best. My sessions are typically more of a dialogue between me and my students while incorporating many practice questions and problems to solve.
I'm extremely passionate about all things science! At SUNY Stony Brook University I earned:
Bachelors of Science in Biology and Political Science (Double Major)
Masters of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology, and a Masters of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in Physiology and Biophysics. Currently I'm a first year medical student!
For years I also participated in original cancer research at SBU, of which I co-authored two peer-reviewed research publications. I've also had the opportunity to present my research at international, national, and regional STEM conferences.
