My name is Michelle and I am a recent college graduate from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania where I attained my B.A. in Anthropology, as well as a minor in Gender Studies. Anthropology is my passion and I am most experienced in the sub-disciplines of Cultural and Archaeological Anthropology. Throughout my undergraduate career I served as a teaching assistant for the Introduction to Cultural Anthropology course. My duties included attending class, taking notes, holding office hours, tutoring students, and organizing exam study sessions. In 2013 I was inducted into the Lambda Alpha National Honors Society, which is the National Collegiate Honors Society for Anthropology. I have experience conducting anthropological research and presenting at numerous professional conferences.

I love sharing the magnificent world of anthropology with others, and my goal is to attend graduate school and attain my Ph.D so that I can become a professor of anthropology and archaeology. In the summer of 2013 I attended the University of Oregon Archaeological Field School, which is a program recognized by the Register of Professional Archaeologists. Since my graduation from Bloomsburg University in May 2014, I have been employed as a field archaeologist for multiple companies and contract firms.

I would be the ideal candidate to tutor your student in anthropology or archaeology courses. I have experience tutoring and mentoring students at the college level. I also have professional and field experience in both cultural and archaeological anthropology. I love sharing the world of anthropology and enjoy interacting and educating others. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me!

Archaeology

In the summer of 2013 I attended the University of Oregon Archaeological Field School, which is a six-week and eight credit program recognized by the Register of Professional Archaeologists. The field school included an introduction to archaeological field techniques, site discovery procedures, field mapping, lithic identification, and techniques of excavation. For the last six months I have been employed as a field archaeologist for multiple companies and contract firms. I have my B.A. in Anthropology from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, where I focused on archaeological courses. I plan to attend graduate school and attain my Ph.D in archaeology. I have experience tutoring students of all ages in one on one or group settings. I organized a public outreach program for a local elementary school titled "What is Archaeology?" I have classroom, field, and professional experience in the discipline of archaeology, making me a wonderful candidate to tutor in this discipline.
