I have previous experience working in education as a tutor and paraeducator. As a paraeducator, I assisted pre-K through 8th grade Deaf/hard-of-hearing students by explaining concepts in ASL so they could complete their assignment in written English.

I have an International Master of Business Administration degree and due to my academic performance, I was invited to become a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success; I have been a member since 2014. I also have my associates degree in Spanish and Liberal Arts.

I am hearing yet I have spent a lot of time being immersed in the Deaf community so I am not only aware of the language, I am also very knowledgeable of Deaf culture, history, and literature. During my studies in American Sign Language/Deaf Studies, I gave presentations on topics ranging from advocating for the Deaf community to explaining medical conditions in American Sign Language.

My ASL lessons include: Vocabulary building exercises, sentence practice, cultural information, and lesson plans personalized to your needs/goals (that can be emailed to you upon request).

I helped athletes to prepare for track meets by creating drills for both long and short distance events. I like to participate with the students as they do their drills; it's more interactive and the athletes (that I have worked with) responded well to my involvement. Everyone gets their hearts pumping during my conditioning drills during the season or during the off-season.

I also acted as a mentor; students would come to me feeling disappointed or upset about their performance during a track meet and I would encourage them to not let that bring them down.
