Bachelor of Film Studies with an Emphasis in Documentary Filmmaking
English Literature Minor.
English is wildly quirky and I find it absolutely tantalizing. Yeah, that's right--one big tease! Let's work on crafting our sentences, spelling, the tenses, and tips on reading comprehension. Enough, thought, thorough... We love the blasphemous pronunciation!

Conceptually:
My studies focused on analyzing social movements recorded through film, propaganda, and critically investigating human theory through film. From guerrilla overthrows in Latin America to educational videos in American classrooms. Let's do some research and write an essay!

Physically:
Developing some physical documentary skills was achieved by joining the university’s video services department. Filming events, editing interviews, digging through archives for historical footage, and creating content for the university’s social media. We can discuss storyboarding, interviewing practices, ISO and F-Stop, connecting with an audience.

ADHD:
I have recently been diagnosed with ADD and am shocked I had been working extra hard all through my school years to stay focused and organized, neurotypical abilities that are completely unnatural to me. I can help you cope! I have had a bit of a revelatory understanding of flexible management styles. Diet/sleep, to-do & do-not-do lists, and habit-pairing are essential to our success! This is a superpower!

I’m excited to recognize every student’s personality and find paths that align with their learning styles. It takes courage to seek a different perspective, but developing confidence in your abilities is essential. We can do this! There is power in being able to come up with original solutions.
