Hey! I'm Shay. I am a graduate of UTD with a B.S. in Neuroscience. I am a tutor for the SAT and MCAT tests. I scored 130/131/129/130 on the four sections of the MCAT. I also scored a 740/760 on the verbal section and a 750/760 on the math portion of the PSAT, which qualified me to be a National Merit Scholar, allowing me to get a full-ride scholarship to college. I have been tutoring SAT off of the platform for five years and I have been an MCAT tutor on Wyzant for since Fall 2022.

I got a 97th percentile MCAT score in July 2022, and the contents of the exam are fresh in my mind. My score distribution is 130/131/129/130. My Chem/ Phys score was 96th percentile, my CARS score was 99th percentile, my Bio score was 89th percentile, and my Psych score was 93rd percentile. I have teaching experience and I understand what a difficult test the MCAT is. I can submit my score report to anyone who asks.

I scored a 1490 on the PSAT which allowed me to win the National Merit Finalist scholarship. This allowed me to attend my undergrad on a full ride including room and board. The PSAT differs from the SAT in that it can only be taken once, and your index weighs the verbal section twice as much as math. I wish to help students become future National Merits as it is a good distinction to have on your college application and can allow for significant scholarships.
