For nearly 30 years, I've had the joy of teaching AP American Government, Civics, and US History courses, sharing my love for American Government and History with students. As the social studies department chair for almost a quarter-century, I've been fortunate to lead a team of nine teachers, collaborating on curriculum development and innovative teaching methods. Outside the classroom, I've had the pleasure of teaching graduate courses in Social Studies education, where I've had lively discussions with aspiring educators. Alongside these experiences, I've also been deeply involved in supporting English language learners, helping them navigate the intricacies of language while exploring the fascinating world of American governance.

Over the years, I've seamlessly blended my passion for teaching American Government and History with a commitment to helping non-English speakers thrive academically and culturally. This journey has led me to extend my teaching repertoire beyond traditional classroom settings, where I've dedicated myself to aiding students in mastering the English language and preparing for the US Citizenship exam (USCIS). By leveraging my extensive experience in High School Social Studies education and my specialized certifications in English Language instruction for both PreK-12 learners and non-English speaking adults, I've developed tailored programs that not only enhance language proficiency but also foster a deep understanding of American civic life and principles.

Throughout my career, I've specialized in accommodating students with various learning styles and needs in high school settings. This includes experience working with students who have Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and accommodations through 504 plans. While I've excelled in supporting English Language learners, my expertise extends to fostering an inclusive and engaging environment for all students.
