Knowledgeable and Great Tutor

Dimitry is an amazing tutor who is very knowledgeable about the MCAT and is great at helping his students improve in the areas they are struggling in. I hired Dimitry as a tutor to help me out with my CARS section for the MCAT, and after just two weeks of working with him, he massively improved my CARS score. We spent a month working on CARS, and throughout that time he created a thorough individualized schedule and strategy tailored to my needs. Throughout our sessions, Dimitry was very understanding, careful, and comprehensive towards helping me build my logic for approaching the CARS section on the MCAT. Additionally, he is a great resource for other topics on the MCAT, as he has a great knowledge base about the exam and can help improve anyone who is in need of MCAT help. Before working with him, I exhausted all kinds of strategies and resources to help me improve in CARS, but none of them were as helpful to improving my score as Dimitry's tutoring. It is without a doubt that I would recommend him as your MCAT tutor.

Intelligent, caring, and a great CARS tutor

I took the MCAT once last year and although I spent many hours practicing and even attending CARS classes, I got 122 on CARS. When I started studying to retake the MCAT this year, I knew I needed some extra help. I’m very grateful I found Dimitry on Wyzant because he played such an important role in improving my CARS score. On my last AAMC full length exam that I took a few days ago, I got a 126 on CARS. I know this is not a great score at all, but it was something I never thought I could do! I also noticed as Dimitry helped me with CARS, my other sections improved by at least 1-2 points as well. He’s very intelligent, knows what he’s doing, and figures out what mistakes you’re making quickly. More importantly, he cares about your progress! Besides being an amazing tutor, he’s a good friend and a great person to ask for advice about medical schools or basically anything! Trust his strategy and don’t give up on it. Highly recommend!

I started looking for a tutor to help me with the MCAT CARS section. CARS was one of the sections that seemed impossible to me, as English is my third language. I reached out to a lot of tutors in Wyzant, but Dimitry was one of the only confident tutors who thought could help me. Since our first session, he showed me a completely different way to approach the section, and encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone. I’ve been taking lessons consistently with Dimitry since January, and my CARS grade jumped by almost 4/5 points on my practice exams (mid March rn). Dimitry is very encouraging, organized, and realistic. During our sessions, he watches. me solve a CARS passage, as I voice my thought process out loud. In my few sessions with Dimitry I was able to utilize a CARS strategy that we talked through which helped me to understand why I was getting questions wrong. As a result I am able to get through difficult passages and really hone in on the details that would lead me to the correct answer.
