I have developed routines for mastering various subjects which I created while tutoring my own children. These techniques involve locating the 'heart of the matter' for any given assignment, and then outlining the steps required for its solution. Study skills help to develop pride and self-esteem; mastering a subject is a real accomplishment, not simply the tasks involved in completing an ordeal. Study skills are used throughout a lifetime; the skills developed as a teenager will be beneficial for many years and in many different pursuits.

Very patient.

John is the person you want to tutor you. John is great at what he does. My experience with him was short but good. He will go far beyond what is required to help you in figuring out what it is that you should be doing. He will take the time to explain and show you the error to the problems while getting to the correct answers. He's very patient, sweet, caring, knowledgeable, and understanding. His experience will more than shed light to the problems that you are having, but before you leave him you will feel confident that you will be able to continue on your own.

One of the best tutors!

I started studying with John about a month ago and man have I learned a lot! He is very helpful and will answer any questions you have. His goal is to help you with any tests or problems you have and to teach and show you how to do them. I was studying for my ASVAB and at first I didn't even know where to start but after learning everything I need to know from John, I feel very confident on taking my test! Thank you again John!

Wonderful tutor!

This was my first time with a tutor, and first time going through wyzant. I was skeptical at first about hiring a tutor through the Internet, however, I don't regret it! I chose John to be my tutor, to help prepare me for the GRE. I am a senior in college, with hopes of going to grad school. I was taking the test in less than 2 weeks. John taught me more in the few sessions we had, than the 2 months I spent on my own preparing with the prep books. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he teaches. He went the extra mile by taking pretests and writing out the answers step by step before each session, so I had them to look back on. I would definitely use John as my tutor again. Thank you John!

Excellent tutor

John is the second tutor I've worked with for algebra and I believe he was an excellent choice. I never had any problems communicating with John, whether it be by phone or email, he was always to our sessions on time, prepared with a thorough understanding of the material, cordial and professional, and John always billed accordingly.
