Tutoring/teaching is something I love doing. The mutual benefits between those I work with and myself are boundless. And by no means are those benefits strictly related to academia. With each new lesson, I get a great deal of satisfaction not only making a new or foreign concept make sense, but learning about the interactive personalities and idiosyncrasies of both the students I work with and myself. Everyone has a different way of doing things and trying to understand those ways is vital...

With each new lesson, I get a great deal of satisfaction not only making a new or foreign concept make sense, but learning about the interactive personalities and idiosyncrasies of both the students I work with and myself. Everyone has a different way of doing things and trying to understand those ways is vital when it comes to interaction. Some students may grasp a concept right away while other students may need some time for it to make sense. Levels of comfort with the instructor will vary for each student. Keeping this in mind, I understand that my personality and teaching style may not work for everyone. The students and instructors I've worked with generally describe my personality as friendly and laid back and my teaching style as detailed, yet concise. If you think I could be compatible with either you or your student or if you would like to inquire more, please send me an email with any questions you may have. Thanks!

Excellent Precalculus tutor

My son met with Jonathan to prepare for his first big Precalculus exam. Jonathan was able to cover a lot of information in a short period of time. He explained the concepts clearly. My son even commented that he explained it as "better than the teacher". It was definitely worth the money and time to get my son the extra help he needed to gain confidence in the class rather than letting him fall behind. We highly recommend Jonathan as a tutor and look forward to working with him again.

Noreen, 1 lesson with Jonathan

very patient. very helpful.

I still think I need more review on some of the things I learned; however, some things seem to make more sense to me now than they did before. Overall. Honestly better than my own math teacher when it comes to being patient and thoroughly explaining the material on some points.

My son was in desperate need of help with his math homework. Jonathan was a huge help with getting my son on the right track. Many thanks!

Cindi, 1 lesson with Jonathan

Very helpful and knowledgeable

The first lesson was absolutely productive. Right away, I was able to figure out my weaknesses and found easier ways to approach SAT math problems. Jonathan guided me through numerous helpful strategies and explained example problems in great detail. I cannot wait till our next lesson! I see great results in the future.
