Hey there! My name is Brandon X. I am Duke University graduate who double majored in Economics and Computer Science with a minor in Cinematic Arts. I am currently working in entertainment at a talent agency and am a huge movies fan. Shoot me a message if you ever need recommendations.
I took the SAT once, scoring a 1580/1600 (800 Math, 780 English) in the fall of my junior year. I never enrolled in a SAT prep class, so I developed effective strategies through my own preparation that I will teach you to get the score you want. Additionally, I took 13 APs in total and scored a 5 on all of them. I received a 1510/1520 on the PSAT, achieving National Merit Finalist status. For my 3 SAT 2 Subject Tests (Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics Level 2), I scored 800 on all of them on my first try.
I've dedicated hundreds of hours tutoring students throughout my academic career, from Geometry to middle school math to testing prep. But I always enjoyed SAT / ACT tutoring the most. It was an area where I could directly and tangibly help my students succeed and achieve their future goals.
The best example of how I can help you significantly raise your scores is through my past work. One of my tutee's SAT score was initially in the 1200s; through a few months of work over a summer, he was able to obtain a 1500 (a 200+ points increase!) that landed him admission to Stanford University. Another student was able to raise her ACT Math score from a 28 to a 34 in a month and a half that led her to Dartmouth.
I know what it takes to elevate your scores and help you get into your dream school/college. The more dedicated you are, the more successful you will be with me. Reach out anytime if you have any additional questions or want to schedule a lesson. I'm looking forward to it!
