Hi, I am Hongwei. I have been tutoring Chemistry since college and have 10+ years tutoring/teaching experience. I graduated from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and went to the US to pursue my doctoral degree in Chemistry at Brown University, RI. I have been tutoring high school students while I was in college and spent almost my half PhD time as a teaching assistant. At Brown, I have taught general chemistry lab, inorganic chemistry lab and organic chemistry lab and hold office hours to answer the questions from the students. I enjoy helping my students to better understand the basic chemistry concept and achieve higher scores on their tests. I hope to work with you soon!

While I was in high school and college, I was very good at my math classes and I am able to help the students understand how a math problem can be broken down to smaller ones with the use of multiple problem solving strategies. Last but not the least, I can be very patient while I am teaching math.

For a guy who got the Chemistry PhD from a Ivy league university, I am confident to say that I am really good at Chemistry. I am comfortable to teach the subject from high school chemistry, AP chemistry and SAT chemistry to college level chemistry.
