To best address the diversity of today’s internationally aware student body and to meet the demands of increasing globalization, my goal as an art historian is to make art history relevant to students, by using the art object as a lens to view the complex dynamics of the human condition. My goal is to help students learn how to balance the rigorous demands of a fast-pasted academic system and their own life needs. I build a collaborative learning environment that is tailored to the students immediate and long term needs, and create lessons and study materials that engage a student's individual creativity, imagination as well as address the required course materials.

Above all, I am a deeply committed teacher and strive to inspire my students to achieve a personal level of satisfaction, to take pride in the process of mastering any subject, even the struggle that comes with learning, and to grow intellectually and
