I have been a high school math teacher for 20 years, teaching everything from Algebra 1 all the way to AP Calculus. I have worked with every type of student - from those that have struggled with math their entire lives to those for whom math is easy and need to be constantly challenged. I love coming up with different ways to explain concepts to my students...breaking down difficult topics into bite sized pieces that they can relate to and understand. I will keep trying different approaches until I find the one that works best for you. Many of my students have told me that they didn't realize they could do math until they worked with me.

I completed my undergraduate degree at Duke University (majoring in Computer Science) and I received my Masters at Teachers College at Columbia University (majoring in Secondary Mathematics Education). I have taught in a private boarding school, a public school, and a charter school...working with all kids of students. I spent most of my career in New York City, so I am very familiar with and have taught to all of the math Regents. I can't wait to help you to better understand math and see its beauty!
