I have a bachelor of science in Mechanical Engineering from South Dakota State University and a master of science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University. During my time at SDSU I tutored advanced engineering math for four years. I specialized in calculus tutoring where I helped students work through any questions they had, mainly working on derivatives and integrals. Though calculus was my specialty, I also tutored pre-calculus and algebra. I primarily worked with student athletes in one-on-one, or small group settings. I absolutely loved my time tutoring at SDSU. Helping others to better understand a subject that I am very passionate about was incredibly fulfilling.

I really value getting to know who I tutor on a more personal level. Developing a good relationship often helps students feel more comfortable and not dread coming to tutoring. I now work as an associate research engineer at the Pacific Northwest National Lab where I use math in my everyday job, even integrals at times! Most of my work focuses on evaluating army installations and analyzing their energy data to understand where their baseline energy use is it at. This information is then used to help provide a roadmap for the installations to reach their Army Climate strategy goals. I handle large amounts of data in my work and have to use math every single day to interpret the data and publish understandable results for the Army. I'm really passionate about what I do and hope that I can share my passion for math and engineering with you!
