I’ve been creating and recording music in a “home studio” for 30 years. Driven by my passion for music, I’ve turned a hobby into a profession, and even won a Grammy award as an audio engineer creating a hip-hop album for kids and families.

I’ve become an expert in Digital Audio Workstations, studio recording techniques, beatmaking, mixing and mastering, and live audio. I’m not only an Audio Engineer, but also an artist/songwriter with extensive experience in performance.

Over the years, I have taught a handful of kids how to make beats, record, and navigate the recording studio. Not only my own 3 kids, but nieces and nephews and other members of my community.

I employ a hands on approach and meet my students at their skill level. I have worked with kids that have zero musical experience and help them discover their creative ear and approach, and I’ve also worked with young musicians who have zero experience with recording, to help them capture their playing and learn the magic of the studio.
