I have been tutoring and teaching Mathematics since I was in graduate school, i.e. since 2001. I have tutored and taught students with learning & physical disabilities, of all ages, of all demographics. I have had the opportunity to teach in a traditional classroom, in online formats, remote classes, on video, using Math software and new technology. You will find that my experiences are vast and varied when it comes to teaching and tutoring.
As a teacher, I know how important it is for a student to understand the concepts of Mathematics, if they are going to succeed. Without a proper understanding of the subject, we are always struggling and unsure about what we need to do. My goal has always been to encourage my students to not just get to the answer, but also to understand what they are doing and why they are doing it. Mathematics can be very simple and easy if presented in the right way.
I would encourage you to try and get help. Instead of getting frustrated by being stuck on a problem, it is always a good idea to change the strategy. Doing the same thing over and over again will yield the same result. So, why not try a different approach?! Looking at a problem from a different perspective can make a whole lot of difference. So, if you need help with understanding Mathematics, come find me!!! I look forward to working with you. Take care and have a good day.
