I am seeking students for most subjects related to math, science, and engineering. I have two B.S. degrees: one in Materials Science and Engineering and one in Chemical Engineering and a M.S. degree in Geology. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Geological Sciences at ASU.

I have a lifelong passion for learning and am particularly interested in all technical subjects.

I developed an interest in sharing my enthusiasm for math, science, and engineering as an undergraduate in college. I was able to offset the costs of tuition by working as a math tutor through my college's tutoring center as well as serving as a private tutor for math, chemistry, and physics. As I progressed in my studies, I was offered several opportunities to serve as a teacher's assistant in my engineering courses. I was always happy to accept these positions because I learned that the best way to become an expert on a subject is to teach it to someone else.

I still hold this philosophy, but also recognize the importance of contributing to having a technically-literate population. My personal respect for and interest in a vast array of technical subjects is very strong and I look forward to making others as excited about these subjects as I am.

I have experience in tutoring either one-on-one or in group settings and have worked with students of various ages, abilities, and backgrounds.

Reviews

Very helpful and knowledgeable.

Stephanie spent several hours with my son going over review questions for his Chemistry for Engineers course and explaining the material that he was having trouble with, which led him to do very well on his exam the next day. He indicated that of all the tutors he has worked with, she was the most helpful.

great tutor

Stephanie was fantastic to work with. Very helpful and knowledgeable in Algebra 1 for my 9th grader. He needed help last minute before finals on Monday and told me Friday night. She took her time with him and left us with tips on what to continue to study. My son really liked her tutoring style. Highly recommend.

Knowledgeable and punctual tutor

Stephanie taught Chemistry. She helped to understand some previous lessons as well as some future home works. She knows her stuff. She came on time. I would hire her again.

An A in AP Chemistry!

My daughter just received a 94% on her AP Chemistry final exam! We never would have survived this class without Stephanie's help. She really knows the subject and is also very thorough, patient and flexible. If my daughter needs tutoring in AP Physics or Calculus next year, Stephanie will be our first choice!

Excellent tutor

My daughter and Stephanie are a good match. Although my daughter needs her only to review lessons on test or quiz days, Stephanie has a good knowledge of the subject matter.
