Hello! I have worked for the past ten years as a teacher and tutor, both privately and with educational organizations. I work very well one-on-on, with an ability to help guide and foster a student's learning without imposing rigid methodologies. It is my belief that enthusiasm, patience, and respect are essential in working with any students.

In addition to teaching Shakespeare in classrooms, I work as a theatrical director and producer in New York City. I have always loved the theater, and it is the perfect place for me to share my love of language and storytelling with the world. I am also an avid amateur naturalist, which is a nice way of saying that I have an extensive rock collection (I traveled to Iceland to get a sample of scoria), and that I strive to memorize all of the Latin names at the botanical garden.

While I have a strong background in math and science, I excel in English language arts, literature, and history. I graduated Magna cum Laude from the Honors College at Adelphi University, with a special focus on the humanities. I received my graduate degree from the George Washington University, again graduating Magna cum Laude. I focused on the humanities, ranging from Homer to Pynchon, while taking independent studies to study Greek & Latin.

I am very passionate about nurturing the growth of a student's intellect and academic confidence. The greatest way to achieve success in the classroom is to possess an enthusiasm for the material - this drives a desire for comprehension that will allow a student to achieve their potential. I love fostering a student's zeal for learning, as well as helping to increase their abilities. I'm an extremely enthusiastic teacher with an enormous passion for knowledge, and a friendly demeanor that makes learning a joyful process.
