I'm a female physics PhD student at UC Davis - with a bachelors in math and a masters in physics - available for tutoring these or closely related subjects. In addition to completing graduate courses in both fields, I have taught several physics and math courses - including Physics 1, all of the PHY 7 series, the PHY 9 series, and the calculus courses: MAT 16 series, 17 series, and 21 series at Davis - and tutored in physics and math.

I enjoy working with people to figure out what they need help with or don't understand in a calm, nonthreatening way; the goal is to help you understand the material and complete your assignments in a shame- and judgment-free environment while adapting to your style and needs. I do know this stuff, but I'm not about making you feel bad for not getting it. (yet!) I love the challenge of finding a different way to explain things, and find the new understanding students' achieve at the end to be very rewarding.

Math of all levels has always come naturally to me, but I try to remember what I didn't understand when I first came across a given subject in a way that makes me more helpful to others. I've taught all versions of calculus offered at UC Davis, and have spent extensive time in the math department's Calc Rooms helping students with their homework or exam problems. I have a lot of experience in problem solving based on typical student mistakes and deciphering what the problem is asking for to arrive at a solution as quickly and effectively as possible.

I have studied and taught many subjects within physics for many years. In addition to having been exposed to a myriad of homework problems and exam questions, I have an ingrained sense of the culture of physics problems and the problem solving steps needed to approach them and enjoy communicating these insights to other students.
