Hi, I’m Riley! I graduated from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service as an International Political Economy (IPEC) major & Spanish minor. 

Before college, I took a combination IB & AP courses, became an AP Scholar with Distinction & Honor, and a National Merit Scholar. As an undergrad, I enjoyed leading student study groups and found that I could master material by teaching it to my peers. As a tutor, I try to emulate professors that I admired as a student. Namely, those who made the material comprehensible and engaging, and those willing to provide additional help and clarification. 

I specialize in tutoring students hoping to improve their writing in any subject area (i.e., American History and Government, Political Science, Economics, English Language/Literature, etc.,…). I’m able to assist in the writing process and offer help with researching, proofreading, editing, and citations (APA, MLA, Chicago).

My favorite part about tutoring is relieving some of the stress students feel, and seeing students make significant progress on writing assignments, especially when one feels they’re "stuck" or encountering "writer’s block."

I offer tutoring in Spanish language, literature, and culture for those who are looking to learn Spanish, or those studying the language to achieve Professional Proficiency. I help students improve their grasp of the language and fluidity in speaking, as well as their syntax, vocabulary, and grammar in their writing. When it comes to learning another language, it’s all about confidence and practice!
