Hello! I am a rising M4 at EVMS in Norfolk, VA. I got here through the help of many teachers, friends, tutors, and TAs. I want to give back by helping students achieve their goals, whatever they maybe. I have experience working in research lab and hold a Master's degree in both Immunology and Biomedical Sciences. Empathetic tutor with great skills on how to approach the MCAT, study sources, and conceptual knowledge!
Sri is an amazing tutor. He is very straightforward, honest, and supportive. I scored 496 the first time I took the MCAT and I had six weeks until my second test. He made himself available to me when it was convenient to me, for as long as I needed. One time he stopped in the middle of his day while he was out running errands, went to a coffee shop, and had a study session with me. He gave me advice on how I should structure my timeline, including practice test dates, material to study with, and realistic expectations. I could call or text him with questions and concerns, and he would help me through a problem, concept, or an emotionally charged freakout. He understands what premed students are going through, and his attitude is very empathetic. He isn't out to get your money, because if you communicate with him, he will tell you to take breaks, even if you have a scheduled session with him or are in mid-session and can't focus. Besides his supportive nature, Sri is an excellent tutor! He can explain anything in a clear and simple way. I think his main strengths are chemistry, physics, biochemistry, and biology. He will show you how to look at a passage, deconstruct what is important, what is distracting, the vocabulary, why an answer is right, tempting, and wrong. He will also show you how to tackle a question if you don't know the answer. Understanding how to take the MCAT is just as important as the conceptual material, and Sri definitely understands both sides. I highly recommend him for a tutor! Sri, thank you so much for all your help. It made a huge difference in my approach to tackling the MCAT mountain, and I couldn't have done it without you!
